State Legislature Approves $30m Bond for Green Affordable Housing
Avesta and its peers across the state are celebrating the recent passage of a $30 million bond for energy efficient, affordable housing. This initiative, signed into law on June 12, 2009, will help Avesta and other housing providers across the state to better address the housing needs of Maine people, as well as jump-start the hard-hit construction industry. Special thanks and appreciation to Senate President Libby Mitchell, Senator Phil Bartlett and House Speaker Hannah Pingree for their leadership and dedication to achieving this historic state investment in affordable housing.
