Avesta Housing is an agency on the forefront of the affordable housing market. For the past forty years, Avesta has made a name for itself providing opportunities to Mainers in need. As we continue to move forward, we are pleased to announce several new hires who will join Avesta in promoting and providing housing opportunities primarily for Southern Maine people in need.
Avesta recognized the need for an organization to provide counseling for current and prospective home owners, and as such, is excited to announce the recent hire of David Stolt as our Home Ownership Services Manager. David will spearhead Avesta’s Home Ownership Center, providing much needed services to not only those looking to purchase their first home, but also current home owners who have run into difficulties. Having spent the past four years working for the State of Maine as Chief Field Investigator for the Bureau of Consumer Credit Protection, David has a wealth of experience working with Mainers trying to stay in their homes by providing foreclosure counseling and providing advice on credit repair.
With several properties currently in various stages of construction, Avesta’s Property Management team is also growing to accommodate the increase of apartments managed. With the seven properties being added to our portfolio by the end of 2014, the agency has added new positions to ensure our residents receive the highest level of service. Joining the Property Management team are Rebecca Chandler, Megan Entwistle and Jeffrey Robinson.
Rebecca recently joined us as a Property Manager servicing our Portland portfolio. With well over a decade of experience in the management of affordable housing, Rebecca brings an attention to detail and a passion for working with residents. In her prior position, she obtained HUD’s highest Management and Occupancy Review rating – Superior – on her property two years in a row.
Megan Entwistle recently joined the Portland Property Management team as a Resident Service Coordinator. After working as an RSC for several years in Oregon and obtaining her Masters of Public Administration degree, Megan has spent several years in Maine working with Community Partnerships for Protecting Children. While in this role, she became familiar with Avesta Housing services through relationships with current Avesta employees and residents.
Jeffrey Robinson joins Avesta as a Maintenance Technician serving the Portland portfolio. Jeffrey comes with over a decade of experience working in the affordable housing arena, and we look forward to utilizing his experience and skills to help maintain the high quality of our properties.
With the recent growth, the need for a strong, customer service-oriented Administrative team is increasingly crucial to our success. On April 2nd, Olivia LaBreck will join Avesta as Office Manager leading the Administrative team. Olivia brings with her extensive experience building teams with a strong emphasis on delivering superior customer service. Her dynamic personality and positive approach will make a great addition to our Administrative team.
Avesta Housing remains committed to delivering superior customer service and affordable housing opportunities to individuals in need. With the recent additions to our already stellar team, we look forward to being able to go above and beyond the service that we already provide.
