PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT

Avesta Housing develops hundreds of new units each year; once an opportunity is identified, we put our experience to work securing the necessary financial resources and carrying the project through to completion. We also redevelop many existing units to ensure preservation of the current inventory of affordable housing. In every instance, our development efforts are sensitive to the needs of the people who will live there, whether that means creating community rooms, installing elevators for the elderly or developing a playground for families with children.

Community involvement is a key aspect of our development efforts. Working with local communities and neighborhoods, we strive to create a positive attitude where affordable housing is seen as an asset. We ensure that development is carried through in a responsible manner, and work with the community's "smart growth" plans to avoid the dangers of sprawl.

At Avesta Housing, we're always willing to tackle "difficult" development projects, applying our unique perspective and innovative approach to create opportunities where others may see insurmountable hurdles. We have four highly skilled housing development officials on staff with extensive legal, financial, planning and construction experience.
