As developer, owner, and manager, Avesta Housing is proposing to develop a fourth phase of the Meeting Place Apartments in Exeter, NH. The current campus consists of three buildings and 97 units. Avesta is proposing to add 43 new, non-age-restricted units at 3 Meeting Place Drive.
The community fills a significant need for affordable housing in Exeter. A 2008 market study commissioned for “The Meeting Place” development noted that the area has limited available rental housing, particularly in the area of family assisted units. In addition, Three Meeting Place will provide residents with Avesta’s service-enriched housing through the assignment of a Resident Service Coordinator.
Service-enhanced housing involves integrating the community’s social service network into the building’s ongoing operation and management. These services can improve the quality of life of residents by working with residents on the skills to become and maintain their self-sufficiency.
