Voters in Kennebunk said “yes” to a change that will allow new housing to be built for seniors.
Kennebunk Savings Bank is donating land to build two 35-unit apartment buildings on Alewive Park Road as well as more than $500,000 for construction.
The bank is also donating an additional 12 acres to the Kennebunk land trust to be preserved.
Voters overwhelmingly passed Question A on Tuesday, which changes the zoning of the area allowing the project to move forward.
